Bitcoin: the premier digital currency

Created in 2009 by a developer using the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin was the first digital currency based on the revolutionary decentralized technology known as blockchain. After the obvious skepticism surrounding it in its early days, it has now become an established reality, thanks in part to its adoption by an increasing number of businesses and recognition by some governments, such as Japan in 2017, which caused its value to surge.
Although Bitcoin remains subject to sharp fluctuations in value compared with traditional FIAT currencies, it is now even used as a safe-haven asset during periods of stock market turmoil.
But with the value of Bitcoin so high, does it still make sense to receive a few satoshis from faucets? The cryptocurrency market remains highly unstable and subject to significant fluctuations, so using online faucets to get free BTC remains the safest way to avoid losing your own money. Moreover, while 10 satoshis may be worth only a few euro cents today, Bitcoin could experience further increases in value in the coming years: some estimates even put its value at up to $500,000 by 2030!
How to mine Bitcoin
Compared with the past, mining Bitcoin today with a home PC using a standard CPU or GPU is absolutely not profitable, given the enormous computing power required by the current difficulty of the SHA cryptographic algorithm. In fact, this results in unsustainable energy consumption, made even more burdensome by electricity costs in Italy.
The alternative, therefore, is simplified software such as the ones listed below, which can currently generate profits that are marginal but reliable and, over time, could become substantial as the price of BTC increases.

Online Bitcoin wallets
Once Bitcoin has been received from faucets or mined, where should it be stored? Today, the web is full of electronic wallets that allow you to store and transfer BTC, receive and send payments, and keep track of transactions.
Online Bitcoin wallets may offer a slightly lower level of security than desktop or hardware wallets due to the risk of hacking or scams, but they provide many advanced additional services, such as faucets and exchanges, and are often multi-currency.
Here is a list of the most reliable and reputable online Bitcoin wallets.

Exchanges for trading Bitcoin
As the first digital currency and one with a resulting strong market capitalization, Bitcoin offers a degree of relative stability in the cryptocurrency market, although this is only true when compared with altcoins. By contrast, Bitcoin is an extremely volatile asset when compared with assets in other currency markets, including the Forex market. This makes it highly attractive for trading, that is, exchanging it for traditional FIAT currencies such as the dollar or euro.
This buying and selling activity is the natural culmination of accumulating Bitcoin through faucets, as it provides an opportunity to make a profit in traditional currencies.
To trade Bitcoin yourself, without intermediaries (brokers), you need to register with websites known as exchanges. These operate like stock exchanges or virtual markets, where you can buy and sell cryptocurrencies after depositing them.
Here are some of the most profitable Bitcoin exchanges.
